Regulatory Compliance
Products sold on this Site that contain radio transmitters comply with the applicable certification requirements of the region stated on each product page. Where a product is supplied for the United States market:
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. For products supplied for other markets, the applicable marking (CE, UKCA, IC, RCM or equivalent) and Declaration of Conformity are those of the manufacturer, and are available on request.
FCC radiation exposure statement: this equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body.
Electrical Safety
- Installation involving building wiring, circuit breakers, hardwired fixtures or work inside an electrical panel must be performed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with local electrical codes.
- Verify that your supply voltage and frequency match the rating on the product label before connecting any mains-powered device. A plug adapter does not convert voltage.
- Do not open product enclosures or power supplies. Do not use a product with damaged cables, plugs or housing.
- Use only the supplied or manufacturer-specified power adapter. Do not exceed the rated load of any smart plug, switch or relay.
- Keep devices rated for indoor use away from water, and do not install devices without the appropriate ingress protection rating in bathrooms, kitchens, garages or outdoors.
- Disconnect power before cleaning, and follow the manual for any device installed in a damp or dusty location.
Battery Safety
Products containing lithium-ion or lithium-metal batteries:
- Charge only with the supplied or specified charger, on a non-flammable surface, and do not leave charging unattended for extended periods.
- Do not expose batteries to heat above 60 °C, direct sunlight, fire, or water immersion.
- Do not puncture, crush, disassemble or short-circuit a battery or battery pack.
- Stop using a device if its battery swells, leaks, overheats or smells, and contact us for guidance.
- Dispose of batteries and end-of-life electronics through your local recycling or take-back scheme, not in household waste.
Cameras, Sensors and Recording Devices
Devices with cameras, microphones or motion sensors may capture images or audio of people. You are solely responsible for complying with applicable surveillance, recording, notification and data protection laws in your jurisdiction, including obtaining any required consent from employees, tenants, visitors or neighbours, and for securing the device with a unique strong password and current firmware. Do not point cameras at areas where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
Not a Life-Safety System
Connected smoke detectors, gas detectors, water leak sensors, door locks and alert devices depend on mains or battery power, network connectivity, cloud services and correct configuration. They can fail or be delayed. They are a convenience and an additional layer of awareness, not a substitute for code-compliant standalone life-safety equipment, insurance, or physical security measures. Always maintain independent detectors and follow local fire and building regulations.
